VINCENT FAVREAU - Expert Geophysicist
Founder of GeoInquest LLC, established in 2022 to help clients maximize the business value of seismic data across the global oil and gas and subsurface data industries. With more than 30 years of industry experience at Viridien and ExxonMobil, he has held a range of geoscience leadership and technical roles focused on large-scale offshore upstream projects in West Africa, various exploration and development projects in Gulf of America and onshore Louisina.
A graduate of ENSG (french geology school) with an engineering degree in Geoscience, his recent work has emphasized research, innovation, and advanced seismic technologies. In 2018, he received an innovation award and was granted U.S. Patent US10082588B2 for inventing the Adaptive Structure-Oriented Operator algorithm.
Edward B. Donaldson - Geoscience Advisor
ExxonMobil Upstream veteran and independent geoscience consultant with 20+ years of experience helping energy investors reduce subsurface risk and improve drilling outcomes through the integration of geology, petrophysics, and advanced geophysical QI technologies. Career highlights include performing the geophysics-based assessment of the Liza-1 Guyana discovery, leading technical re-skilling initiatives in Lagos, Nigeria, and founding ExxonMobil’s first IQI Internship program. Former roles include Geoscience Advisor, Supervisor, Geologist, and Geophysicist with ExxonMobil and currently consulting through GeoInquest LLC.
Holds an M.S. in Geological Sciences from Duke University and a B.S. in Geoscience with Distinction from The Ohio State University. Pre-college served six patrols in the United States Navy aboard the USS Von Steuben (SSBN-632) as a Nuclear Reactor Controls Electronics Technician.
